Where We Walk

Different places. Different needs. The same heart.

MamaLita works through relationships. Some are long-term. Some need intensive support for a season. Some begin with one practical need and grow into something much bigger.

Namibia — Hope for farming families

Namibia is one of MamaLita’s major mission fields.
Julita works closely with farming families who face enormous pressure, uncertainty and discouragement. These are people who help put food on our tables, yet many carry their struggles quietly.
MamaLita holds weekly meetings with farming communities and Julita spends about one month in Namibia twice a year.
Each year she also gathers more than 150 families for a conference focused on hope, encouragement, community and spiritual strengthening.
The question remains simple: How can we help? Sometimes the answer is practical. Often it is emotional and spiritual. We keep walking with them.

Zambia — Education, community and opportunity

Our relationship with Oscar and the school near Livingstone is one of MamaLita’s flagship examples.
Alongside the school, MamaLita also supports local community initiatives such as youth outreach and practical tools that enable people to do their work.
There is also a future vision for mobile healthcare support in the area.

Malawi — Women, farming and community strengt

MamaLita walks alongside local people who are already working to strengthen their communities.
This includes support for a farmer whose planting and community work reaches far beyond his own household, as well as the growing Women of Strength vision in Salima — supporting women through encouragement, mental wellbeing, leadership, agriculture and practical community care.

Uganda — Children, care and a future

A small children’s home in Uganda is especially close to Julita’s heart.
MamaLita wants to help create stable support and future opportunity for these children, including a carefully managed child-support or sponsorship pathway that protects each child’s dignity and privacy.

Tanzania — Relationship and community

MamaLita has longstanding relationships in Tanzania, including within Maasai communities.
The work is relationship-led: listening, responding to real needs, sharing spiritual encouragement and helping local people strengthen what they are already building.

South Africa — Helping make local solutions possible

MamaLita supports many smaller initiatives and individual needs in South Africa.
This includes encouragement and support among farming communities, practical help for elderly people who can no longer manage alone, youth initiatives, education, small-business support, Bible distribution and other grassroots needs.
MamaLita does not need to own the programme to make a difference. Sometimes our role is simply to help the right local people do what they are already called to do.

MamaLita comes alongside people who are already doing meaningful work in their communities. With Kleinmond Boxing, we help support a grassroots programme giving young people discipline, confidence and opportunity through sport, while helping the project seek the funding and resources it needs to grow.
